Sakhi Akbari, former Afghan Military official that was given amnesty by Taliban is still gunned down in Kabul in targeted killing.
Sakhi was a commander from West Farah. He was given an amnesty card from Taliban and had to trust them to stick to their self-imposed restraint. Unfortunately, while travelling to Kabul Sakhi was killed by Taliban gunmen. There are reports similar to this happening all across Afghanistan. Hundreds, possibly even thousands of former Afghan military and police leadership are being killed.
Taliban now have access to Afghan intelligence databases as well as US military biometric equipment, allowing them to identify Afghans that worked for the Afghan government or western coalition forces with ease.
